on February 24th. I removed the dead body of a Chinese male from the Praya by Statue Wharf in the ambulance to the Govt. Civil Hospital, The doby was examined by Dr. Mc. Kenny and Dr. Esler. The former pronounced life extinct. The body was removed to the Mortuary. Next morning at the Mortuary, in my presence and that of Dr. Valentine, the body was identified as that of Leung Yuk Tong. At 9.45 a. m. that morning the bullet in Court was handed to me by Dr. Valentine (Exhibit A). The clothing in Court (Exhibit B. 1-2-3-4) is the clothing that deceased was wearing when taken to Hospital and when removed to the Mortuary. noticed the bullet holes and the charred mark on the outer jacket at the Govt. Civil Hospital. I handed over the bul- let and clothes to Inspr. Grent."

P.0. 0339. At 11.45 a.m. on Fe- bruary 24th. I was on duty at the junction of Des Voeux Road Central and Jackson Road, I saw a man running in front and two fireman after him. I ran after them along Des Voeux Road and up Wardley Street. At Queen's Road I saw defend- ant being held down by 3 or 4 men. The two firemen I saw chasing were 8th, witness and Lau Po in Court. I also s&W a European chasing. I took charge of defendant and finally sonducted him to Central Police Station,"
